PS5 não conseguiu meter um único jogo no TOP 100 do Japão em 2020

Por estranho que pareça, considerando as suas origens, a Sony decidiu deixar algo de parte o Japão durante o lançamento da PlayStation 5, disponibilizando apenas algumas centenas de consolas para o país. O stock foi entretanto reforçado, mas nem isso foi suficiente para ajudar a PS5 a colocar um jogo no top 100 dos mais vendidos no Japão em 2020.

Demon's Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, e Sackboy: A Big Adventure, tinham boas perspetivas para o país, mas nenhum deles chegou sequer às 40 mil unidades vendidas em 2020. A PS4 esteve muito melhor, com Final Fantasy VII Remake a chegar à quarta posição, embora o top tenha sido sobretudo dominado pela Nintendo Switch, e em particular por Animal Crossing, que ficou em primeiro lugar com mais de seis milhões de cópias vendidas só no Japão.
