"Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of GRTV News. Today we're talking about something that I find quite surprising actually and it's regarding EA, one of its biggest games of this year so far. We're talking about Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Now this game came out back in the tail end of April and it debuted on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series consoles."
"It was solely a new gen or should we say a current gen title but that will be changing in the future because Respawn has announced that it will be bringing Jedi Survivor to both PS4 and Xbox One and that it's going to continue to improve the PS5 and the Xbox Series versions of the game.
So with that being the case let's dive on in."
"Star Wars Jedi Survivor is coming to PS4 and Xbox One but Respawn will also continue to improve the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series version. Respawn kept on reiterating that Star Wars Jedi Survivor was only coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series because they needed the extra power to do some of the stuff they wanted. Not exactly the first developers that have said that and they won't be the last ones that have some explaining to do shortly after because Electronic Arts revealed that Respawn has started working on bringing Star Wars Jedi Survivor to PS4 and Xbox One in tonight's earnings call. It doesn't sound like we'll get these versions this year however as the talented team was in the early stages of porting. This might get the blood boiling for some players out there as the game is still struggling with quite a few technical issues on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series even if some have been ironed out after Ben putting them out in his review. That was me. EA knows that which is one of the reasons why this announcement was quickly followed by reassurances that more updates of the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series versions are coming and that these are top priority. It'll be interesting to see if this means Star Wars Jedi Survivor is a noticeably better game by the time we start talking about Game of the Year and how it will perform on last-gen consoles."
"So yeah it is an interesting one because again you know as it was mentioned in the piece and as I put in my review as well, Star Wars Jedi Survivor was on track to being like a very very good game like a you know sort of nine out of ten on our sort of reviews rating scale but it was riddled with performance issues at launch. Pre-launch it was it was riddled with them when we were in the review period and then it came out and there was a day one patch but it still wasn't much better so you have to sort of look at it and go the game wasn't quite ready for launch it doesn't deserve to be rated as high as it was and it's been months since and EA and Respawn have been constantly improving the game but it's still riddled with issues here and there and you know we attributed it to the fact that it's quite a technologically impressive game but if it's coming to PS4 and Xbox One you have to look at it and go like if it can run on those consoles and if it's going to run on those consoles why is it littered with so many performance issues on the current gen system so there's a lot of question marks about this obviously the people who are playing on PS4 and Xbox One are probably very excited to be able to check this game out and to experience the sequel in the series but at the same time you know it would be nice to see a a fully completed working game debut at launch but that's a that's a topic for a different day and a rant for a different day as well so yeah that's all the time we have in today's episode of GRTV News let us know what you think about it if you played Star Wars Jedi Survivor will you be checking out the PS4 or the Xbox One version let us know in the comments below and until then thank you for watching today's episode of GRTV News we'll actually won't be back until next week now because I'm away tomorrow and Friday so I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and enjoy your weekend and we'll see you all on the end on the on the other side take care everyone"
